I say this sometimes to myself when things seem difficult or confusing to get through. God has a plan. I truly believe that. And if it’s meant to be, then it will be.

Induction of labor - What every pregnant woman should know

naturalmomma:

Every pregnant mother should know the potential risks associated with induction of labor. Many doctors recommend induction after the mother passes her due date, saying that baby might grow ‘too big’ or the placenta might start to deteriorate. These are actually very rare scenarios. The majority of the time, induction is unnecessary and leads to more interventions and risks - including a 50% cesarean rate for mothers who are induced.

Some common methods of induction carry huge risks:

Pitocin-
Pitocin is probably the most widely-used method for induction. It is an artificial form of the hormone oxytocin, also known as the love hormone, which stimulates normal labor and childbirth. Pitocin-induced contractions are longer, stronger, and closer together than normal oxytocin contractions. The FDA removed its approval of Pitocin for the elective induction of labor in 1978, yet it is still widely used. Common risks include:

To the mother:
- Higher rate of complicated labors and deliveries
- More use of anesthesia because of increased intensity of contractions
- Postpartum hemorrhage
- Higher rate of ruptured uterus and placental separation

To the baby:
- Fetal distress
- Higher rate of jaundice
- Greater chance of premature baby
- Low Apgar scores at five minutes
- Permanent central nervous system or brain damage
- Fetal death

Cytotec-
The manufacturer of the drug Cytotec has stated that use of this drug for labor has never been tested or approved and they suggest complete discontinuance of its use. Cytotec increases the risk of uterine rupture and death to both mother and baby. All maternal and child health organizations endorse its withdrawal from use.

Mothers, being pregnant is tough, and it can be miserable, especially going into 40 weeks, 41 weeks, 42 weeks. Don’t let your wish to have your baby in your arms leads you to a decision you might regret later.

“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight…” (Isaiah 45:2, NKJ)
Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because when you submit your life to the Lord, He promises to go before you. He is preparing a way for you. He is making your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey.
Today, if you feel like you’re in a dry season, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at the promise of God! If you’ll keep speaking words of faith, God promises that He’ll anoint your head with oil and your cup will run over. That means you’ll be refreshed and anointed to do what He’s called you to do. God is preparing your path and equipping you for the journey.
What do you need in order to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining or focused on the negative side of things. Put on an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. Thank Him for making your crooked places straight! Keep your eyes on Him and follow Him forward into the path of victory!

“…and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…” (Ephesians 1:19, NKJV)
Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:19 that we would understand the exceeding greatness of God’s power for those who believe. Notice the power is only activated when we believe. That means right now the Creator of the universe is just waiting to release healing, restoration, favor, promotion, abundance. The only catch is that we have to believe.
I think about Mary, the mother of Christ. When she was a teenager, the angel came to her and said, “You’re going to have a child without knowing a man.” Her first thought was, “That’s impossible. That’s never happened before. That defies the laws of nature.” She said to the angel, “How can this be?” He answered back, “The Spirit of the Lord will come on you and cause it to happen.”
I love the way Mary responded. She didn’t argue with him. She didn’t try to talk herself out of it. She simply said, “Be it unto me even as you have said.”
Has God placed a dream in your heart that seems impossible? If you will choose to believe, then His strength will rise up in you. His ability will supersede your ability, and the greatness of His power will bring to pass every dream and every desire He has placed within you!
